The past several days have been a little frantic given that the Prime Minister has recalled Parliament to sit on Monday, May 26, 2025.

As you've also heard, His Majesty King Charles III, accompanied by Her Majesty the Queen, will be in Ottawa to read the new government's Speech from the Throne.

From wrapping up our campaign and closing the office, to retrieving over 2,000 lawn signs, thanking each of our volunteers, and getting ready for the new Parliamentary session, it's a busy time.

I was in the capital for much of the past two weeks, attending Conservative caucus meetings and sorting out my details with the House of Commons’ helpful administrative team. I’m working hard to onboard staff and open my Hill and Constituency offices before the new 46th Parliament begins sitting.

I'm so very grateful for your encouraging comments, suggestions and kind words — along with your patience — over the past two weeks.

It truly takes a village to run an election campaign, and I’m eternally thankful to everyone who was involved, at the doors, on the phones, in our office, at the polls and behind the scenes.

To my amazing campaign team and volunteers in every corner of our riding: Your dedication, hard work, and passion made all the difference to our shared effort and bringing home the win. Thank you, again, from the bottom of my heart.

If you have a general enquiry or need assistance with a federal program, service, department or agency, please be reminded that my office cannot open any new case files or work on existing cases until such time as I'm officially sworn in and have assumed my constituency and Parliament Hill offices.

We look forward to serving Oshawa’s constituents very soon.

My new team and I truly appreciate your understanding during this brief period of transition.
